I PUT a HEX on YOU RACISTS!!!

For years racists have vandalized signs memorializing the murder/lynching of Emmett Till.  It happened again just recently.  These white trash could not vandalize the new anti-vandal sign, but chose to film their shit in front of it.

These people are unfit to be called humans.  Pure white trash.  How any human could dishonor the memory of the 14 year old boy Emmett, tortured, beaten to death by two grown married men, and disposed in this river, for the crime of responding to his young hormones and whistling at a “pretty” white woman is just pure evil.  And the killers got off.

I PUT A HEX ON ALL YOU BASTARDS.

Our Disingenuous American Congress

This week the US House passed a resolution condemning the genocide of Armenians by the Ottoman Empire…….intended to be a thumb in the eye of the Turks for their incursion into the Kurdish area of northern Syria after BMT abandoned the Kurds, our allies who lost 10,000 men and women fighting with the USA to quell the ISIL

One Representative voted “Present”…. Ilhan Omar, and now she is catching hell for not voting Yes.  I stand with her.

This resolution will do nothing to help the Kurds and only has pissed off the Turks.  But there is a much larger reason for my standing with Rep. Omar:

Where are the similar resolutions against China, for the genocide in Tibet?  And right now, the “re-eduation” camps of over a million Uyghers, indigenous Muslims of China?

BUT, what really galls me is the failure of the United States to formally and officially apologize to African Americans for the over 400 years of slavery and the continuing oppression of Blacks in this Country!

Then there is our penal system, which has the greatest number of incarcerated humans in the world, with a very disproportionate number people of color.

Come on Speaker Pelosi, let’s get real ok!

Politrix is NOT Humanity!!!

DESECRATION OF AFRICAN AMERICAN CEMETERIES

For at least over two hundred years cemeteries of African Americans have been desecrated in every way imaginable.  In the 1800’s medical students would rob the graves of recently buried Blacks to use the corpses for dissection study.  I suspect that this went on well afterwards also, with grave robbers digging up and selling corpses.  It was not enough for Whites to torment Blacks throughout their lives, so it seems, so the final atrocities of taking bodies and ruining graveyards was the final act of attempted genocide.

Of course the most common desecration over time has been the “easy pickings” of destroying headstones or otherwise vandalizing them.  White boys with rifles no doubt used headstones as targets in rural areas.

However, so-called “gentrification” and the expansion of commerce into older areas of towns and cities has done the greatest damage.  The construction of roads and utilities directly impacts these cemeteries.  I have a friend who right now is dealing with such an abomination, and is seeking legal redress.

While I personally will be cremated and my remains not placed in a cemetery, I have a great respect for the feelings of families of any “race” regarding their attachment to such places of “final rest.”  My late wife and her parents and relatives are interred in a major urban cemetery, and my parents remains and those of my grandparents and other ancestors lay within an old country cemetery.  I would be heartbroken if these were vandalized or disturbed.  That African American “places” have been perpetually treated as either targets of extended racism or treated as “invisible” to the powers of modernity I find anti-humanistic on every level.

If You Want to Know What “Whiteness” Really Is – Check out First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas

If the reader doesn’t already know what “whiteness” is,  I will trust your curiosity will motivate you to do some research on the web.  I am not referring to the “how white a white bed sheet is,” if you need a clue.

If there is a bastion of whiteness in America today, one such would be white evangelical churches, and FBC of Dallas ranks at the top:   a current pastor who fully supports Trump, and a prior pastor who for some 50 years railed against integration.  Therefore, I will extend the rubric of whiteness to just plain ol’ racism in this case.

One of the mega churches in Dallas, one that Billy Graham had his membership in although he didn’t live in Texas, this church was founded in the mid-1800’s, and its members no doubt represented the mainstream and City leaders through the last 150 years.  And, let’s keep in mind Dallas had the largest KKK membership in the Nation during the 1920’s, routinely beating, and lynching Blacks.  What a history to be proud of.

Is it a mystery that Blacks who have attended and joined such white evangelical churches have left them in droves in recent times, given these churches NEVER condemn any atrocity or policy that is inflicted on African Americans and people of color…. for instance, police murdering black and brown men and women seemingly at will and almost never being indicted?  One black woman’s story I read, said Whites in her big white church didn’t even know the name Travon Martin, while she herself was losing sleep about the boy’s murder; however, I conjecture these same people knew the name Colin Kaepernick!

If there ever was a more non-Christian group of people on Earth than white evangelicals, I would not even want to know who really.  Like I said recently in a post, I believe in multiverses, and the consciousness of these people are definitely not in my universe.

99% of evangelicals polled say they support Trump, even now, with all the EVIL he continues to sew throughout the world.  How can that be?  Has to be another universe.

The Hero Lit The Match Starting America’s Civil War: JOHN BROWN

To the slave owners, he was a terrorist.  To his friends such as Harriett Tubman, he was a brave man.  History has both considered him a martyr and insane.  Daring men and women who put their lives on the line to change the course of the river of history need to be a bit mentally disturbed.  His life has been written about extensively, including books by the great African American scholar W.E. Du Bois.

Had not Brown taken up weapons and attempted to start a violent overthrow of slavery, one can only speculate how much longer slavery would existed.  Obviously enslaved Africans were not going to go on in that condition forever, so no doubt eventually, with or without the help of abolitionists, they would have risen up to slay all the white slave owners and plantation overseers, and their families.  So the days of the old South were numbered, if only God knew the last days.

In 1859 John Brown had gathered men to his cause, and they attacked the armory at Harper’s Ferry.  While he succeeded, in the end he lost this battle, as he was captured along with a number of his men.  Tried and convicted, he and the men were hung.

But John won the Civil War to which he helped give the incipient momentum.

Vitor Hugo wrote, before the execution:

Politically speaking, the murder of John Brown would be an uncorrectable sin. It would create in the Union a latent fissure that would in the long run dislocate it. Brown’s agony might perhaps consolidate slavery in Virginia, but it would certainly shake the whole American democracy. You save your shame, but you kill your glory. Morally speaking, it seems a part of the human light would put itself out, that the very notion of justice and injustice would hide itself in darkness, on that day where one would see the assassination of Emancipation by Liberty itself. …

Let America know and ponder on this: there is something more frightening than Cain killing Abel, and that is Washington killing Spartacus

Change Gonna Come!

As we look toward the coming week, the soul sustenance all good folks need is to have faith in the timelessly proven adage, “a change is going to come.”  Nothing in this universe, no phenomenon, even what so many call God, is inherently unchanging.

Our mission this week, as the last and all those ahead, is to put our prayers and shoulders into adding to the slow momentum that carries morality arching toward the positive.  If all good people push at the same time, it does make a difference!

So today let us gather our wisdom, organize our spiritual energy, and recommit to affecting positive change ahead.

All that is happening as a result of those who are ignorant, those who hate, and those who are confused, will move on down the river, albeit slowly, and will be dissolved in the mighty sea.  There is only one ocean, and there is only one humanity.

Best we all began to learn that.

I leave you with Sam Cooke’s immortal song,

Why Can’t People Just Be Animals – Like We Used to Be?

We all began as animals.  Fact, not fake news.

Now we humans think we are somehow above the “animal kingdom.”  Why, I really do not understand.

Animals are capable, in their own ways, of intelligently exhibiting all the wonderful qualities we claim to possess, but without the cruelty, craziness, selfishness and hate that largely characterizes human population.  Sure, animals can be “cruel” – nature has cruelty built-in, but it only comes out as a means of survival – not for “fun.”

Animals do not know “racism.”  Just like human children do not until they are programmed by adults and society.  The brown gibbon in the photo does not see the other black gibbon as any but another gibbon.  Color blind.

Animals see we humans through their own eyes, and we populate their environment…..we can be their pets, or be their prey in some areas, for after all we were animals and their food supply eons ago in Africa.  But they did not kill us just for sport.

Here is a wonderful documentary about a gibbon in India, I hope you will take the time to watch, as it shows just how they relate to us – to bad we can’t relate this way to fellow humans:
